Built by the People Who Built the Playbook.

DOMÍ's founding team brings 96 combined years of experience across every discipline that determines whether a hotel development succeeds or fails: strategy, market analytics, design, construction, finance, capital markets, and operations. Two of DOMÍ's founders were senior executives at Extended Stay America. They didn't study this sector from the outside. They ran it from the inside.

Rick Canale

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Rick brings 31 years of experience to DOMÍ, including 23 years in hospitality. At Extended Stay America, Rick directed the next-generation ESA Premier Brand prototype, overseeing design, costing, value-engineering, and operational efficiency from the ground up. He created DOMÍ's site selection systems and market analytics platform, including the submarket evaluation tools that now evaluate every U.S. extended stay submarket. He informed pricing strategy and revenue positioning across ESA's extended stay portfolio, and co-led more than $200 million in development and new construction supporting 14 ESA Premier hotel openings.

Rick also led the integration of a $1.5 billion, 111-hotel extended stay portfolio acquisition, delivering meaningful revenue share gains across the combined platform. Earlier in his career, Rick spent 11 years at InterContinental Hotel Group in finance, development, and strategy roles across the company's Atlanta and London headquarters.

At DOMÍ, Rick owns the proprietary market-selection model and analytics platform, leads market and product strategy and prototype standards, sets the development playbook the team builds to, and owns brand, franchise, and hotel-management relationships.

Three Founders. One Integrated Platform.

What makes DOMÍ unusual isn't any single credential: it's the combination. The capital formation expertise to raise and deploy equity. The analytics platform to identify exactly where to build. The development experience to execute without surprises. And the operating knowledge to know exactly what makes a top-performing extended stay hotel work.

Most development platforms are strong in one or two of these dimensions. DOMÍ was built to be strong in all of them.
